With just one day to go until the official reveal, the Swiss Eurovision entry for the 2026 contest in Vienna appears to have been confirmed ahead of schedule.

Reliable Eurovision fan sources, including a confirmation from the popular ESC Discord community, report that Veronica Fusaro will take to the stage with a reworked version of her track "Alice". The song originally appeared on her second album Looking for Connection, which was released in October 2025.

The timing is key here: EBU rules state that competing songs must not have been commercially released before 1 September 2025. Since Looking for Connection dropped after that cutoff, the album track — and any subsequent revisions — remains fully eligible for Vienna. Fusaro's entry is scheduled for its official premiere tomorrow, 11 March 2026 at 12:00 CET, complete with a music video rollout following filming that took place in Lucerne earlier this month.

"Alice" fits several clues that fans and insiders had been piecing together in recent weeks. The 28-year-old singer-songwriter from Thun previously hinted on TikTok that the lyrics include the word "eyes" (or "yeux" in French), a detail that matches the song. Clocking in at around three minutes, it aligns perfectly with typical Eurovision entry lengths and structural expectations.

Veronica Fusaro was internally selected by Swiss broadcaster SRG SSR in January 2026 following a multi-stage process that included an international public vote element and review of 493 submitted songs. Coming off Switzerland's strong home-soil performance in Basel 2025 (where the country hosted and achieved a Top 10 finish), expectations are high for another competitive showing in Austria.

The promotional image circulating alongside the news shows Fusaro in a sharp black tailored suit, standing against a dramatic alpine backdrop — a visual that perfectly captures her introspective yet confident style as an alternative pop artist with Italian-Swiss roots.

While some Swiss media outlets (including Blick) had speculated about other album tracks such as "It’s All Gonna Be Okay!" as possible contenders, the ESC Discord exclusive has gained significant traction and is now widely regarded as credible within the community.

Stay tuned tomorrow for the full official release, music video, and first reactions from the Eurovision fandom. Will the reworked "Alice" bring Switzerland another strong result in Vienna? The countdown is officially on.
